Any Video Converter’s output files is its double edge sword. Although it doesn’t offer a wide variety of output options it includes all the basics associated with most popular media players, specifically iPod and Zune.
It also includes options for AVI with Xvid or MPEG codecs and WMV with Windows Media 8 and 9 codecs. Additionally, you can adjust your video size to fit your whole computer screen, or a 2.5 inch media player screen.
Since there are no media players that will exclusively play MOV, RM or VOB files, these options were excluded as outputs. Additionally, you cannot adjust your video output size when you select to convert to iPod. Because the software does not output to MOV QuickTime and you are limited in adjusting the video dimensions on the MP4 selection, we would not suggest this software to Mac users.
One of our favorite features included with Any Video Converter is the YouTube import tool. You simply find a video that you like on YouTube or Google video, copy the URL and paste it into Any Video Converter’s application. Within moments you have some of the funniest videos on the Internet formated for your portable player.
Some output selections you can customize more than others specifically WMV and AVI. With each video file you select to convert, Any Video Converter allows you to adjust start and stop times, video and audio codecs, video and audio bitrates, sample rate and framerate. However, unlike some of our other products, Any Video Converter doesn’t have the ability to edit or adjust your video’s brightness or contrast.
Some features we would like to see Any Video Converter add in future versions include editing tools and the ability to merge multiple files into one large file.
